About Bihar Student Credit Card

The Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme is a state government initiative aimed at providing financial assistance to students pursuing higher education. Launched by the Government of Bihar, this scheme helps students in the state access credit for their educational needs without the burden of immediate repayment.

  • Loan Amount: Eligible students can avail of a loan of up to ₹4 lakh to cover their education expenses. The loan can be used for tuition fees, hostel fees, study materials, and other education-related expenses.
  • Eligibility: The scheme is available for students who are residents of Bihar and have passed class 12 or equivalent exams.
  • Repayment Terms: Students are given a moratorium period of 1 year after completing their education before repayment begins.
  • Interest Rates: The loan is provided at a nominal interest rate, considerably lower than traditional student loans.
